Hospital Liaison Program
There are 32 birthing hospitals in Maryland. Each hospital serves a different population with unique needs. Our hospital liaison program is designed to facilitate communication between nurses working in Maryland’s birthing hospitals and the Section leadership.
Seeking Liaisons:
We are currently seeking Maryland AWHONN Members to fill the role of hospital liaison at each birthing hospital. The primary responsibility of Hospital Liaisons is to disseminate information about Section activities to colleagues in the hospital setting. Additionally, Hospital Liaisons communicate the professional and educational needs of the women’s health, obstetric, and neonatal nurses at each hospital to the Maryland AWHONN leadership team. The pre-requisites to fill the role of Hospital Liaison are AWHONN membership and employment at the hospital where you would like to serve as a Liaison.
